I believe that it is in the best interest of all Californians to come together to protect our environment. California -- for the health of its citizens and its economy -- must be the greenest state in the country.

In Sacramento, I will support tax credits for companies who invest in green technology and green buildings. On Santa Clara City Council, I helped create our Green Power Program allowing Santa Clarans to choose energy from wind and solar sources. This program has received national recognition. In Sacramento, I will push for the creation of a state-wide Green Campaign, educating Californians on how to be more environmentally conscious.

Businesses, consumers, scientists, and politicians must work together to make California the cleanest, greenest, and most efficient state in the country. As your Assembly Member, I will support bold, new investment in alternative energy sources. Working with you, I will be proud to be the environment's staunchest ally in Sacramento.
